1mg/ml (varies by lot)
Applicable Applications for anti-GABBR2 antibody
ELISA (Peptide ELISA), IHC (Immunohistochemistry), WB (Western Blot)
Immunogen
A synthesized peptide derived from human GABBR2 around the phosphorylation site of Ser884.
Conjugation
Unconjugated
Fragment
Fab fragment
Subunit Structure
Heterodimer of GABBR1 and GABBR2. Homodimers may form, but are inactive. Interacts (via C-terminus) with ATF4 (via leucine zipper domain) (By similarity).
Similarity
Alpha-helical parts of the C-terminal intracellular region mediate heterodimeric interaction with GABBR1.Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 3 family. GABA-B receptor subfamily.
Subcellular Location
Cell membrane>Multi-pass membrane protein. Cell junction>Synapse>Postsynaptic cell membrane>Multi-pass membrane protein.
Note: Coexpression of GABBR1 and GABBR2 is required for GABBR1 maturation and transport to the plasma membrane. In contrast, GABBR2 does not depend on GABBR1 for transport to the cell membrane.
Preparation and Storage
Store at -20 degree C. Stable for 12 months from date of receipt.

Related Product Information for anti-GABBR2 antibody
Component of a heterodimeric G-protein coupled receptor for GABA, formed by GABBR1 and GABBR2. Within the heterodimeric GABA receptor, only GABBR1 seems to bind agonists, while GABBR2 mediates coupling to G proteins. Ligand binding causes a conformation change that triggers signaling via guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) and modulates the activity of down-stream effectors, such as adenylate cyclase. Signaling inhibits adenylate cyclase, stimulates phospholipase A2, activates potassium channels, inactivates voltage-dependent calcium-channels and modulates inositol phospholipid hydrolysis. Plays a critical role in the fine-tuning of inhibitory synaptic transmission. Pre-synaptic GABA receptor inhibits neurotransmitter release by down-regulating high-voltage activated calcium channels, whereas postsynaptic GABA receptor decreases neuronal excitability by activating a prominent inwardly rectifying potassium (Kir) conductance that underlies the late inhibitory postsynaptic potentials. Not only implicated in synaptic inhibition but also in hippocampal long-term potentiation, slow wave sleep, muscle relaxation and antinociception (Probable).

Product Notes

The GABBR2 gabbr2 (Catalog #AAA329870) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Phospho-GABBR2 (Ser884) Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat Predicted Reactivity: Pig (100%), Zebrafish (100%), Bovine (100%), Horse (100%), Sheep (100%), Rabbit (100%), Dog (100%), Chicken (100%) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GABBR2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (Peptide ELISA), IHC (Immunohistochemistry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GABBR2 gabbr2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GABBR2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
