Related Product Information for anti-GRIA1 antibody
mGluR1 rabbit polyclonal primary antibody from the lab is produced in-house. It detects human, mouse, and rat mGluR1 and is antigen affinity purified. It is great for use in WB.
L-glutamate is the major excitatory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system and activates both ionotropic and metabotropic glutamate receptors. Glutamatergic neurotransmission is involved in most aspects of normal brain function and can be perturbed in many neuropathologic conditions. The metabotropic glutamate receptors are a family of G protein-coupled receptors, that have been divided into 3 groups on the basis of sequence homology, putative signal transduction mechanisms, and pharmacologic properties. The Glutamate Receptor, Metabotropic, 1, (mGluR1 alpha) activates phospholipase C and participates in the central action of glutamate in the central nervous system, such as long-term potentiation in the hippocampus and long-term depression in the cerebellum

Product Notes

The GRIA1 grm1 (Catalog #AAA72778) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-GluR1 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GluR1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GRIA1 grm1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GluR1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
