Related Product Information for anti-GOLPH3 antibody
Function: Phosphatidylinositol-4-phosphate-binding protein that links Golgi membranes to the cytoskeleton and may participate in the tensile force required for vesicle budding from the Golgi. Thereby, may play a role in Golgi membrane trafficking and could indirectly give its flattened shape to the Golgi apparatus. May also bind to the coatomer to regulate Golgi membrane trafficking. May play a role in anterograde transport from the Golgi to the plasma membrane and regulate secretion. Has also been involved in the control of the localization of Golgi enzymes through interaction with their cytoplasmic part. May play an indirect role in cell migration. Has also been involved in the modulation of mTOR signaling. May also be involved in the regulation of mitochondrial lipids biosynthesis.
Subunit Structure: Homodimer. Interacts with the coatomer complex. Interacts with MYO18A; the interaction is direct and may link Golgi membranes to the actin cytoskeleton. Interacts with GCNT1; may control its retention in the Golgi. Interacts with VPS35.
Post-translational Modifications: Phosphorylated.
Similarity: Belongs to the GOLPH3/VPS74 family.

Product Notes

The GOLPH3 golph3 (Catalog #AAA322925) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GOLPH3 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GOLPH3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IHC (Immunohistochemistry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GOLPH3 golph3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GOLPH3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
