Immunogen
A synthesized peptide derived from human HEPACAM.
Subcellular Location
Cytoplasm. Membrane. In MCF7 breast carcinoma and hepatic Hep3B and HepG2 cell lines, localization of HEPACAM is cell density-dependent. In well spread cells, localized to punctate structures in the perinuclear membrane, cytoplasm, and at cell surface of protusions. In confluent cells, localized predominantly to the cytoplasmic membrane, particularly in areas of cell-cell contacts. Colocalizes with CDH1.
Tissue Specificity
Down-regulated in 20 out of 23 of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) samples and is undetectable in 5 HCC cell lines tested.
Predicted Cross Reactivity
Pig, Zebrafish, Bovine, Horse, Sheep, Rabbit, Dog
Similarity
Pig (100%), Zebrafish (80%), Bovine (100%), Horse (100%), Sheep (100%), Rabbit (100%), Dog (100%)

Related Product Information for anti-HEPACAM antibody
Function: Involved in regulating cell motility and cell-matrix interactions. May inhibit cell growth through suppression of cell proliferation.
Subunit Structure: Homodimer. Dimer formation occurs predominantly through cis interactions on the cell surface. Part of a complex containing MLC1, TRPV4, AQP4 and ATP1B1.
Post-translational Modifications: N-glycosylated.
Similarity: The cytoplasmic domain plays an important role in regulation of cell-matrix adhesion and cell motility.

Product Notes

The HEPACAM hepacam (Catalog #AAA322902) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The HEPACAM Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's HEPACAM can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IHC (Immunohistochemistry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HEPACAM hepacam for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HEPACAM, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
