Related Product Information for anti-IL1A antibody
Two forms of interleukin-1, designated IL-1alpha and IL-1beta , have been described. Although encoded by distinct genes and exhibiting roughly only 25% sequence identity, IL-1alpha and IL-1beta bind to the same receptor and seem to elicit similar biological responses. IL-1 production is generally thought to be associated with inflammation, but it has also been shown to be expressed during kidney development, thymocyte differentiation and cartilage degradation. IL-1 plays a critical role in the regulation of immune response and inflammation, acting as an activator of T and B lymphocytes and natural killer (NK) cells. In T cells, IL-1 stimulates the production of IL-2 and selectively inhibits IL-4 expression. IL-1 induces B cell proliferation and maturation, and immunoglobulin synthesis. NK cells require IL-1beta for production of the anti- pathogen IFN-gamma. IL-1 has also been implicated in several pathological conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease and atherosclerosis.

Product Notes

The IL1A il1a (Catalog #AAA312107) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The IL1 alpha Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's IL1 alpha can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot), FCM/FACS (Flow Cytometry), IHC (Immunohistochemistry). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL1A il1a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IL1 alpha, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
