Biological Significance
Laminins are major proteins in the basal lamina, a protein network foundation for most cells and organs. The laminins are an important and biologically active part of the basal lamina, influencing cell differentiation, migration, adhesion as well as phenotype and survival.
Cross-Reactivity
Bovine, Human, Mouse, Pig, Rabbit, Rat, Positive control: Skin and kidney. There was no cross-reaction with human type I, III, IV and V collagen in immunoblotting. The antibody reacted with a distinct band of apprximately 200-220kDa from 8M Urea ext.
Biohazard Information
This product contains sodium azide as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product.
Immunogen
Laminin antibody was raised in rabbit using laminin isolated from EHS-mouse sarcoma as the immunogen.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C for short term storage. Aliquot and store at -20 degree C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
