Description: Serine/threonine-protein kinase LATS1 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the LATS1 gene. It is mapped to 6q25.1. The proteinencoded by this gene is a putative serine/threonine kinase that localizes to the mitotic apparatus and complexes with cell cycle controller CDC2kinase in early mitosis. The protein is phosphorylated in a cell-cycle dependent manner, with late prophase phosphorylation remaining throughmetaphase. The N-terminal region of the protein binds CDC2 to form a complex showing reduced H1 histone kinase activity, indicating a role asa negative regulator of CDC2/cyclin A. In addition, the C-terminal kinase domain binds to its own N-terminal region, suggesting potentialnegative regulation through interference with complex formation via intramolecular binding. Biochemical and genetic data suggest a role as atumor suppressor. This is supported by studies in knockout mice showing development of soft-tissue sarcomas, ovarian stromal cell tumors anda high sensitivity to carcinogenic treatments.

Product Notes
The LATS1 lats1 (Catalog #AAA124916) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-LATS1 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's LATS1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (Direct ELISA), IHC (Immunohistochemistry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LATS1 lats1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "LATS1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
