Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse LXR-alpha Polyclonal Antibody | anti-LXR-alpha antibody
LXR-alpha antibody (pAb)
WB (Western Blot)
(LXR-a antibody (pAb) tested by Western blot. Whole cell extract of Hep G2 cells (30 ug) probed with LXR-a antibody (pAb) at a dilution of 1:500.)
ChIP (Chromatin Immunoprecipitation)
(LXR-a antibody (pAb) tested by ChIP. Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) was performed using the ChIP-IT High Sensitivity Kit with 20 ug of mouse embryonic fibroblast chromatin and 10 ul of LXR-a antibody. ChIP DNA was used in qPCR with the negative control primer pairs or gene-specific primer pairs as indicated. Data are presented as Binding Events Detected per 1000 Cells using Epigenetic Services normalization scheme which accounts for primer efficiency and the amount of chromatin used in the ChIP reaction.)
ChIP (Chromatin Immunoprecipitation)
(LXR-a antibody (pAb) tested by ChIP-chip. ChIP was performed using the ChIP-IT High Sensitivity Kit with chromatin from 2 million mouse embryonic fibroblasts. ChIP DNA was amplified by WGA, labeled and hybridized to a mouse tiling array. The image is zoomed in to show LXR-a binding at the promoter of the retinoic acid inducible gene Zmiz1. LXR binding at this gene is expected since LXR is known to form heterodimers with RXR (retinoic acid receptor).)
Background: LXR-a (Liver X receptor alpha, NR1H3) is an orphan nuclear receptor and a member of the NR1 receptor family. The LXR receptors (including LXR-a and LXR-b) bind oxysterols and play key roles in maintaining cholesterol homeostasis in macrophages, primarily by regulating multiple components of the reverse cholesterol transport. They also are potent inhibitors of inflammation and are capable of repressing cytokine and chemokine production by Toll-like receptor (TLR)-activated macrophages. LXR-a is expressed mainly in liver and adipose tissue and interacts with RXR, shifting RXR to an active ligand-binding subunit mediating responses to retinoids.

Product Notes
The LXR-alpha nr1h3 (Catalog #AAA59987) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The LXR-alpha antibody (pAb) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's LXR-alpha can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot), ChIP (Chromatin immunoprecipitation), ChIP (Chromatin immunoprecipitation). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LXR-alpha nr1h3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "LXR-alpha, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
