Related Product Information for anti-MVK antibody
This is a rabbit polyclonal antibody against MVK. It was validated on Western Blot using a cell lysate as a positive control.

Target Description: MVK is the peroxisomal enzyme mevalonate kinase. Mevalonate is a key intermediate, and mevalonate kinase a key early enzyme, in isoprenoid and sterol synthesis. Mevalonate kinase deficiency caused by mutation of this gene results in mevalonic aciduria, a disease characterized psychomotor retardation, failure to thrive, hepatosplenomegaly, anemia and recurrent febrile crises. Defects in this gene also cause hyperimmunoglobulinaemia D and periodic fever syndrome, a disorder characterized by recurrent episodes of fever associated with lymphadenopathy, arthralgia, gastrointestinal dismay and skin rash. This gene encodes the peroxisomal enzyme mevalonate kinase. Two transcript variants that encode the same protein have been found for this gene.

Product Notes

The MVK mvk (Catalog #AAA200545) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MVK antibody - N-terminal region reacts with Cow, Dog, Guinea Pig, Horse, Human, Mouse, Rabbit, Rat, Zebrafish and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MVK can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IHC (Immunohistochemistry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MVK mvk for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: LAVLAFLYLY LSICRKQRAL PSLDIVVWSE LPPGAGLGSS AAYSVCLAAA. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MVK, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
