Related Product Information for anti-NTN1 antibody
Netrin-1 (NTRN1) also known as axonal guidance protein (NTRN1) is a diffuse protein made by the floor plate cells that belongs to the Netrin family of proteins that guides axons to or away from the midline of the developing nervous system. In mammals, netrins are ligands for DCC receptor and the UNC5 receptor homologues. Netrin-1, located at human chromosome 17p13-p12, attracts spinal commissural axons and repels trochlear axons in vitro. In mice, deficiencies in Netrin-1 led to defects in spinal commissural axon projections. In the dorsal and intermediate spinal cord, it prevents DRG axons from being directed towards the dorsal spinal cord. Netrin-1 and its associated receptors playa key role cell death and tumor formation. Netrin-1/receptor pair induces apoptosis in cultured cells and also acts as regulators of tumor development. These properties of Netrin-1 have been implicated in colorectal tumorigenesis by regulating apoptosis. In the embryo, Netrin-1 is widely expressed in the developing nervous system and in mesodermal tissues. In adults, it is highly expressed in heart, small intestine, colon, liver and prostrate. It is also expressed in brain tumors and neuroblastomas. Netrin-1 is approximately a 73kDa protein.
The Netrin1-selective antibody (MBS540531) was generated against a peptide near C-terminal end of the Netrin1 protein using cyclic peptide methodology for generating antibodies, which results in higher titer and specificity. MBS540531 was used to develop FITC-conjugated NTRN1-selective antibodies (MBS542254). Western blot positive control samples and antigenic blocking pep/tide are available. The affinity purified mono-specific polyclonal antibody to NTRN1 strongly labels a 73kDa protein in western blot positive control (MBS543004) samples and in various tissues examined. Antibodies can be conjugated to secondary enzymes or fluorescent probes upon request as an additional charge.

Product Notes
The NTN1 ntn1 (Catalog #AAA75918) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Netrin 1 Antibody BIOTIN-Conjugated reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Netrin 1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot), IP (Immunoprecipitation), ELISA. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NTN1 ntn1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Netrin 1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
