Rabbit anti-Human NFkB p65 phospho Ser529 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-NFkB antibody
NFkB p65 phospho Ser529 antibody (pAb)
DB (Dot Blot)
(NFkB p65 phospho Ser529 pAb tested by dot blot analysis. Dot blot analysis was used to confirm the specificity of of NFkB p65 phospho Ser529 pAb for NFkB p65 phosphorylated at serine 529. Phosphorylated peptides corresponding to the immunogen and related peptides were spotted onto PVDF and probed with NFkB p65 phospho Ser529 pAb at 1:5,000. The amount of peptide (picomoles) spotted is indicated next to each row. Lane 1: phospho Ser276 NFkB p65 peptide. Lane 2: unmodified peptide surrounding Ser276 NFkB p65 peptide. Lane 3: phospho Ser529 NFkB p65 peptide. Lane 4: unmodified peptide surrounding Ser529 NFkB p65. Lane 5: phospho Ser536 NFkB p65 peptide. Lane 6: unmodified peptide surrounding Ser536 NFkB p65. Lane 7: phospho Ser337 NFkB p50 peptide. Lane 8: unmodified peptide surrounding Ser337 NFkB p50.)
WB (Western Blot)
(NFkB p65 phospho Ser529 pAb tested by Western blot. HeLa cell extract (20 ug per lane) probed with either NFkB p65 phospho Ser529 pAb (1:1,000 dilution. Lane 1: extract derived from untreated cells. Lane 2: extract derived from cells treated with TNF-a and Calyculin.)
Background: NFkB p65 (Nuclear factor NF-kappa-B p65 subunit also known as NFkB p65 or RelA) is a member of the Rel family of transcription factors that are involved in processes such as inflammation, immunity, differentiation, cell growth, tumorigenesis and apoptosis. The Rel family includes c-Rel, RelA (NFkB p65, NFkB3) and RelB (I-Rel). Rel proteins form dimers with the NFkB p50 (proteolytically processed from p105/NFkB1) and p52 (proteolytically processed from p100/NFkB2) members of the NFkB family that bind DNA and activate transcription. The NFkB p65/p50 heterodimer is the most abundant form of NFkB. NFkB signaling is negatively regulated by the sequestration of the NFkB complex in the cytoplasm by its association with the IkB family of inhibitory proteins. The IkB Kinase (IKK) complex is the key enzyme involved in the activation and translocation of NFkB. The IKK complex is composed of two catalytic subunits (IKKa and IKKb) and a regulatory subunit (IKKg). Upon its activation, the IKK complex phosphorylates IkB proteins (IkBa, IkBa phospho Ser32, 36), which marks them for ubiquitination and degradation. This enables the NFkB complex to translocate to the nucleus where it regulates transcription by binding to DNA.

Product Notes
The NFkB rela (Catalog #AAA59917) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NFkB p65 phospho Ser529 antibody (pAb) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NFkB p65 phospho Ser529 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NFkB rela for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NFkB p65 phospho Ser529, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
