Related Product Information for anti-NUCB1 antibody
Nucleobindin 1 (NUCB1; also known as CALNUC, NUC) is is a Golgi-localized soluble protein with a signal peptide and multiple functional domains. NUCB1 contains an intriguing combination of DNA-and calcium-binding motifs, a trait that it shares with the protein Nucleobindin 2 (NUCB2; also known as nesfatin). NUCB2 has been implicated in several aspects of metabolic control and has been identified in some endocrine organs. NUCB1 is a highly conserved, multifunctional protein widely expressed in tissues and cells. It contains two EF-hand motifs which have been shown to play a crucial role in binding Ca(2+) ions. The cis-Golgi protein Nucleobindin-1 (NUCB1) is critical for MMP2 and MT1-MMP trafficking along with the Golgi apparatus. This process is Ca2+-dependent and is required for invasive MDA-MB-231 cell migration as well as for gelatin degradation in primary human macrophages.

Product Notes

The NUCB1 (Catalog #AAA256243) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-NUCB1/Nucleobindin 1 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NUCB1/Nucleobindin 1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IF (Immunofluorescence), ICC (Immunocytochemistry), IHC (Immunohistochemistry). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NUCB1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NUCB1/Nucleobindin 1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
