Preparation and Storage
This antibody can be stored at 2-8 degree C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Pyruvate dehydrogenase complex (PDC) catalyzes the oxidative decarboxylation of pyruvate and links glycolysis to the tricarboxylic acid cycle and fatty acid synthesis. PDPR is the regulatory subunit of mitochondrial pyruvate dehydrogenase phosphatase (EC 3.1.3.43). It inhibits the Mg(2+)-dependent and Ca(2+)-stimulated activity of the catalytic subunit (PDP1; 605993) by decreasing its sensitivity to Mg(2+). PDPR decreases the sensitivity of PDP1 to magnesium ions, and this inhibition is reversed by the polyamine spermine. PDPR acts to decrease the sensitivity of the PDP catalytic subunit to magnesium ions. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
