Related Product Information for anti-P1 antibody
PRF1 (Perforin 1) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with PRF1 include Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis, Familial, 2 and Lymphoma, Non-Hodgkin. Among its related pathways are Allograft rejection and Apoptosis and survival Caspase cascade. GO annotations related to this gene include calcium ion binding and wide pore channel activity. The protein encoded by this gene has structural and functional similarities to complement component 9 (C9). Like C9, this protein creates transmembrane tubules and is capable of lysing non-specifically a variety of target cells. This protein is one of the main cytolytic proteins of cytolytic granules, and it is known to be a key effector molecule for T-cell- and natural killer-cell-mediated cytolysis. Defects in this gene cause familial hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis type 2 (HPLH2), a rare and lethal autosomal recessive disorder of early childhood. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein.

Product Notes

The P1 prf1 (Catalog #AAA173836) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Perforin 1 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Perforin 1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA, IHC (Immunohistochemistry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the P1 prf1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Perforin 1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
