Related Product Information for anti-PKD2 antibody
The Polycystic Kidney Disease 2 (Pkd2) gene is mutated in autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD), one of the most common human monogenic disorders. Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) caused by PKD2 mutations is characterized by a longer survival and a later onset of end-stage renal disease than ADPKD caused by PKD1 mutations. Mutation screening of PKD1 is technically challenging largely due to the complexity resulting from duplication of its first 33 exons in six highly homologous pseudogenes (i.e. PKD1P1-P6). PKD2-related autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) is widely acknowledged to be of milder severity than PKD1-related disease, but population-based studies depicting the exact burden of the disease are lacking.

Product Notes

The PKD2 (Catalog #AAA256747) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-PKD2 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PKD2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IP (Immunoprecipitation), IF (Immunofluorescence), ICC (Immunocytochemistry), IHC (Immunohistochemistry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PKD2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PKD2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
