Related Product Information for anti-PENK antibody
PENK antibody is an unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody to PENK (Proenkephalin)(aa 25-267) from human. It is reactive with human, mouse and rat. Validated for IHC and WB. Cited in 1 publication.
PENK (proenkephalin) is an endogenous opioid polypeptide hormone that produces multiple enkephalin peptides. Met- and Leu-enkephalins compete with and mimic the effects of opiate drugs. They play a role in a number of physiologic functions, including pain perception and responses to stress. PENK(114-133) and PENK(237-258) increase glutamate release in the striatum. PENK(114-133) decreases GABA concentration in the striatum.

Product Notes
The PENK penk (Catalog #AAA162886) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Proenkephalin/PENK Rabbit anti-Human Polyclonal (aa 25-267) Antibody reacts with Mouse, Rat, Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Proenkephalin/PENK can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot), IHC (Immunohistochemistry), IHC (Immunohistochemistry). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PENK penk for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Proenkephalin/PENK, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
