Related Product Information for anti-PYGB antibody
Function: Glycogen phosphorylase that regulates glycogen mobilization (PubMed:27402852). Phosphorylase is an important allosteric enzyme in carbohydrate metabolism (PubMed:3346228). Enzymes from different sources differ in their regulatory mechanisms and in their natural substrates (PubMed:3346228). However, all known phosphorylases share catalytic and structural properties (PubMed:3346228).
Subunit Structure: Homodimer. Dimers associate into a tetramer to form the enzymatically active phosphorylase A.
Post-translational Modifications: Phosphorylated (PubMed:27402852). Phosphorylation of Ser-15 converts phosphorylase B (unphosphorylated) to phosphorylase A (By similarity).
Similarity: Belongs to the glycogen phosphorylase family.

Product Notes

The PYGB pygb (Catalog #AAA323132) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PYGB Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PYGB can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IHC (Immunohistochemistry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PYGB pygb for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PYGB, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
