Related Product Information for anti-SELENBP1 antibody
Description: Rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody for Selenium-binding protein 1(SELENBP1) detection. Tested with WB, IHC-P in Human.
Background: Selenium-binding protein 1, also known as SELENBP1 or SBP is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SLELNBP1 gene. This gene is mapped to 1q21.3. This gene encodes a member of the selenium-binding protein family. Selenium is an essential nutrient that exhibits potent anticarcinogenic properties, and deficiency of selenium may cause certain neurologic diseases. The effects of selenium in preventing cancer and neurologic diseases may be mediated by selenium-binding proteins, and decreased expression of this gene may be associated with several types of cancer. The encoded protein may play a selenium-dependent role in ubiquitination/deubiquitination-mediated protein degradation.

Product Notes
The SELENBP1 selenbp1 (Catalog #AAA45722) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Selenium Binding Protein 1 antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Selenium Binding Protein 1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IHC (Immunohistochemistry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SELENBP1 selenbp1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Selenium Binding Protein 1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
