Related Product Information for anti-STAT1 antibody
STAT1 alpha Antibody: STATs (signal transducers and activators of transcription) are a family of cytoplasmic latent transcription factors that are activated to regulate gene expression in response to a large number of extracellular signaling polypeptides including cytokines, interferons, and growth factors. After phosphorylation by JAK tyrosine kinases, STATs enter the nucleus to regulate transcription of many different genes. Among the seven STATs (Stat1, Stat2, Stat3, Stat4, Stat5a, Stat5b, and Stat6), Stat1, Stat3, Stat5a, and Stat5b have a wide activation profile. STAT1 is activated by many different ligands including IFN family (IFN-α, IFN-β, IFN-γ and IL-10), gp130 family (IL-6, IL-11, LIF, CNTF, and G-CSF), and receptor tyrosine kinases (EGF, PDGF, and CSF-1). STAT1 has two forms, the 91 kDa STAT1α and the 84 kDa STAT1β which are encoded by the same gene with splicing variant.

Product Notes

The STAT1 stat1 (Catalog #AAA40223) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The STAT1 alpha Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's STAT1 alpha can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IP (Immunoprecipitation), ICC (Immunocytochemistry), WB (Western Blot), ELISA. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the STAT1 stat1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "STAT1 alpha, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
