Cross reactiviity
Specific for latency associated peptide (LAP) from the TGF-beta 1 precursor and will neutralize the biological activity of recombinant human LAP. Does not react with the LAP from TGF- beta 2 precursor.
Biological Significance
Transforming growth factor (sometimes referred to as Tumor growth factor, or TGF) is used to describe two classes of polypeptide growth factors, TGF alpha and TGFBeta.
Bioactivity
ND50 is typically 15-30 ug/ml in the presence of 125 ng/ml of recombinant human LAP TGF beta 1 and 0.25 ng/ml TGF beta 1.
Endotoxin Levels
<10 ng per 1 mg of the antibody as determined by the LAL method.
