Preparation and Storage

TTLL12 (Tubulin Tyrosine Ligase Like 12) is a Protein Coding gene. The TTLL12 gene, located on 22q13.2, is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, dog, cow, mouse, rat, chicken, zebrafish, fruit fly, mosquito, C.elegans, A.thaliana, rice, and frog. TTLL12, a member of the TTLL family, has functions of histone methylation and affects the activities of tubulin tyrosine ligase, which are often observed abnormally in many cancers. TTLL12 is widely expressed in the esophagus, colon, and other tissues. Diseases associated with TTLL12 include Acute Closed-Angle Glaucoma and Orofaciodigital Syndrome Viii. TTLL12 is a negative regulator of RNA-virus-induced type I IFN expression by inhibiting the interaction of VISA with other proteins.
