WB (Western Blot)
(Western blot analysis of Phospho-YB1 (Ser176) in lysates of HepG2 , using Phospho-YB1 (Ser176) Antibody.)
IHC (Immunohiostchemistry)
(At 1/100 staining human liver tissue sections by IHC-P. The tissue was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The tissue was then blocked and incubated with the antibody for 1.5 hours at 22 degree C. An HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit antibody was used as the secondary)
IHC (Immunohistochemistry)
(At 1/100 staining mouse heart tissue sections by IHC-P.
Post Translational Modifications: Ubiquitinated by RBBP6; leading to a decrease of YBX1 transcactivational ability. In the absence of phosphorylation the protein is retained in the cytoplasm. Cleaved by a 20S proteasomal protease in response to agents that damage DNA. Cleavage takes place in the absence of ubiquitination and ATP. The resulting N-terminal fragment accumulates in the nucleus (By similarity).
Subunit Structure: Identified in a histone pre-mRNA complex, at least composed of ERI1, LSM11, SLBP, SNRPB, SYNCRIP and YBX1 (By similarity). Component of the coding region determinant (CRD)-mediated complex, composed of DHX9, HNRNPU, IGF2BP1, SYNCRIP and YBX1. Identified in a IGF2BP1-dependent mRNP granule complex containing untranslated mRNAs. Component of the U11/U12 snRNPs that are part of the U12-type spliceosome. Interacts with IGF2BP1 and RBBP6. Component of cytoplasmic messenger ribonucleoprotein particles (mRNPs). Interacts with AKT1, MBNL1, SFRS9, ALYREF/THOC4, MSH2, XRCC5, WRN and NCL. Can bind to DNA as a homomeric form, (EFI-A)n or as a heteromeric form in association with EFI-B. Homodimer in the presence of ATP. Interacts (via C-terminus) with APEX1 (via N-terminus); the interaction is increased with APEX1 acetylated at 'Lys-6' and 'Lys-7'. Interacts with AGO1 and AGO2. Interacts with ANKRD2. Interacts with DERA. Interacts with FMR1; this interaction occurs in association with polyribosome (By similarity). Interacts with ZBTB7B (By similarity).

Product Notes
The YB1 ybx1 (Catalog #AAA328473) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Phospho-YB1 (Ser176) Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat Predicted: Pig, Zebrafish, Bovine, Horse, Sheep, Rabbit, Dog and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's YB1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (Peptide ELISA), IHC (Immunohistochemistry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the YB1 ybx1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "YB1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
