Function
Functions as an upstream inhibitor of RAB11, regulating directional protein transport to the forming neurites. Involved in nerve growth factor-induced neurite formation. May have a more general role in cell projections formation.
Cellular Location
Recycling endosome membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Endoplasmic reticulum membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Cell projection, growth cone membrane; Multi- pass membrane protein. Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein Note=Localizes at both dendrites and axons.
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Related Product Information for anti-ZFYVE27 antibody
This gene encodes a protein with several transmembrane
domains, a Rab11-binding domain and a lipid-binding FYVE finger
domain. The encoded protein appears to promote neurite formation. A
mutation in this gene has been reported to be associated with
hereditary spastic paraplegia, however the pathogenicity of the
mutation, which may simply represent a polymorphism, is unclear.

Product Notes
The ZFYVE27 zfyve27 (Catalog #AAA290153) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 28-56. The ZFYVE27 Antibody (N-term) reacts with Human (Predicted Reactivity: Mouse, Rat) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ZFYVE27 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA, WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ZFYVE27 zfyve27 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ZFYVE27, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
