Related Product Information for REN elisa kit
Principle of the assay: human Renin ELISA Kit was based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from mouse specific for Renin has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards(NSO, L67-R406) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for Renin is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB was used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the human Renin amount of sample captured in plate.
Background: Renin, also known as an angiotensinogenase, is an enzyme that participates in the body's renin-angiotensin system(RAS). This gene is mapped to 1q32.1. Renin's primary function is to cause an increase in blood pressure, leading to restoration of perfusion pressure in the kidneys. It also can catalyze the first step in the activation pathway of angiotensinogen--a cascade that can result in aldosterone release, vasoconstriction. Renin, an aspartyl protease, cleaves angiotensinogen to form angiotensin I, which is converted to angiotensin II by angiotensin I converting enzyme, an important regulator of blood pressure and electrolyte balance. What's more, Renin secretion is also stimulated by sympathetic nervous stimulation, mainly through beta-1 adrenoceptor activation.

Product Notes

The Human REN ren (Catalog #AAA11614) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA11614 ELISA Kit recognizes Human REN. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Renin, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
