Related Product Information for SIRT7 recombinant protein
Description: Full-length recombinant human SIRT7 was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal His tag.
Scientific Background: SIRT7 is a member of the class IV of sirtuin family of proteins which are homologs to the yeast Sir2 protein and play a role in cell differentiation, proliferation, apoptosis, metabolism, and senescence. SIRT7 associates with active rRNA genes and histones. Overexpression of SIRT7 increases pol I-mediated transcription whereas knockdown of SIRT7 or inhibition of its catalytic activity results in decreased association of pol I with rDNA and reduced pol I transcription (1). Depletion of SIRT7 stops cell proliferation and triggers apoptosis. SIRT7 deacetylates p53 and increases cellular resistance to cytotoxic and oxidative stress (2).

Product Notes

The SIRT7 sirt7 (Catalog #AAA73143) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Sf9 insect cells using baculovirus and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is Full Length. AAA Biotech's SIRT7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SIRT Assay. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SIRT7 sirt7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SIRT7, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
