Related Product Information for TFAM recombinant protein
TFAM, also known as MtTF1 or mtTFA, is a mitochondrial transcription factor that is a key activator of mitochondrial transcription as well as a participant in mitochondrial genome replication. TFAM is located primarily in the nuclei of elongated spermatids and may be involved in the regulation of gene expression of the haploid male genome. TFAM has been associated with mitochondrial disorder in humans characterized by ocular myopathy, exercise intolerance and muscle wasting. Recombinant human TFAM protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E Coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

Product Notes

The TFAM tfam (Catalog #AAA11798) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's TFAM can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TFAM tfam for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MSSVLASCPK KPVSSYLRFS KEQLPIFKAQ NPDAKTTELI RRIAQRWREL PDSKKKIYQD AYRAEWQVYK EEISRFKEQL TPSQIMSLEK EIMDKHLKRK AMTKKKELTL LGKPKRPRSA YNVYVAERFQ EAKGDSPQEK LKTVKENWKN LSDSEKELYI QHAKEDETRY HNEMKSWEEQ MIEVGRKDLL RRTIKKQRKY GAEEC. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TFAM, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
