Related Product Information for USP16 recombinant protein
Recombinant human USP16 (187-end) was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal GST tag. The USP16 gene accession number is NM_006447.
USP16 (ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 16) is a deubiquitinating enzyme belonging to the ubiquitin-specific protease (USP) family and is involved in transcriptional regulation that controls cell differentiation, cell cycle and apoptosis through modulations with p16 Ink4a and p19 Arf. Downregulation of USP16 by truncated HBx may contribute to the growth of hepatocellular carcinoma cells (1). USP16 may also play a crucial role in provoking the self-renewal and/or senescence pathways in Down syndrome through the removal of ubiquitin from H2AK119, a critical mark for the maintenance of several somatic tissues (2).

Product Notes
The USP16 (Catalog #AAA74103) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Sf9 insect cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's USP16 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot), Activity Assay. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the USP16 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "USP16, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
