Related Product Information for WIP1 recombinant protein
Recombinant full-length human WIP1 was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal GST tag. The gene accession number is BC016480.
Wild-type p53-induced phosphatase 1 (WIP1) is a member of the PP2C family of Ser/Thr protein, and is highly expressed in testis and ovary (1). The expression of WIP1 is induced in responses to the environmental stresses (2). WIP1 dephosphorylates CHK2 at Thr-68 in as a negative regulator in the response of DNA damage (2). WIP1 suppresses the DNA double strand break repair by dephosphorylating the phosphorylated Ser-139 in a histone variant gamma-H2AX (3).

Product Notes

The WIP1 (Catalog #AAA73786) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Sf9 insect cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's WIP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot), Phosphatase Assay. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the WIP1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "WIP1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
