product-image-AAA152179_BIOACTIVITY13.png Bioactivity (carboxylesterase 1 (CES1) also known as Liver carboxylesterase 1 is a serine esterase and member of a large multigene carboxylesterase family. The protein Involved in the detoxification of xenobiotics and in the activation of ester and amide prodrugs. Hydrolyzes aromatic and aliphatic esters, but has no catalytic activity toward amides or a fatty acyl-CoA ester. Hydrolyzes the methyl ester group of cocaine to form benzoylecgonine. Thus, the recombinant human CES1 activity was measured by its ability to hydrolyze 4-Nitrophenyl acetate (4-NPA) to 4-Nitrophenol. The reaction was performed in 50 mM Tris, pH 7.5(Assay Buffer), initiated by addition 50 uL of various concentrations of CES1 (dilute by Assay Buffer) to 50 uL of 2 mM Substrate 4-NPA(100 mM stock in Acetone, dilute by deionized water). Incubated at 37 degree C for 10min, then read at a wavelength of 400 nm.)

Product Notes

The CES1 ces1 (Catalog #AAA152179) is an Active Protein produced from 293F cell and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Carboxylesterase 1 (CES1) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Activity Assay, Cell Culture. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CES1 ces1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Gly18~Leu5 67. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Carboxylesterase 1 (CES1), Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
