1U Benzonase Nuclease is defined as the amount of enzyme that causes a deltaA260 of 1 in 30 min, which corresponds to complete digestion of 37ug DNA. Standard reaction conditions are 1mg/ml sonicated DNA substrate in 50mM Tris-HCl pH 8.0, 0.1mg/ml BSA, 1mM MgCI2, incubated at 37°C.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks.
Store, frozen at -20 degree C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
