Related Product Information for CAMK2beta recombinant protein
Recombinant full-length human CAMK2beta was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 cells using an N-terminal His tag. The gene accession number is NM_172081.
CAMK2beta belongs to the serine/threonine protein kinase family and to the type II multifunctional Ca(2+)/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase subfamily. CAMK2beta showed wide tissue and cell distribution, and one of CAMK2beta variant predominated in adult brain (1). The ratio of CAMK2alpha and CAMK2beta protein levels were inversely related during activity in hippocampal neurons (2). CAMK2beta is a prominent kinase in the central nervous system and may function in long-term potentiation and neurotransmitter release.

Product Notes
The CAMK2beta (Catalog #AAA73308) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Sf9 insect cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's CAMK2 beta can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot), Kinase Assay. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CAMK2beta for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CAMK2 beta, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
