Related Product Information for B7-2 recombinant protein
This gene encodes a type I membrane protein that is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. This protein is expressed by antigen-presenting cells, and it is the ligand for two proteins at the cell surface of T cells, CD28 antigen and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4. Binding of this protein with CD28 antigen is a costimulatory signal for activation of the T-cell. Binding of this protein with cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 negatively regulates T-cell activation and diminishes the immune response. Alternative splicing results in several transcript variants encoding different isoforms.

Product Notes

The B7-2 cd86 (Catalog #AAA47267) is a Recombinant Protein produced from HEK293 cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's B7-2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA, WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the B7-2 cd86 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: B7-2(Leu26 -Pro247)+h Fc(Glu99-A la330). It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "B7-2, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
