Host
E Coli
Purity/Purification
>95% as determined by SDS-PAGE
Form/Format
Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered solution in Tris-HCl and NaCl.
Sequence Length
167
Bioactivity
The ED(50) was determined by the dose-dependent proliferation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells and was found to be <0.5ng/mL.
Endotoxin Level
<1.0 EU/ug of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method
Reconstitution
Reconstitute at 1 mg/mL in sterile 20 mM Tris--HCI (pH 8.0).
Preparation and Storage
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at-70 degree C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2-8 degree C for one month, or at-20 degree C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Product Notes
The LEP lep (Catalog #AAA214276) is an Active Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Leptin (LEP), Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
