Related Product Information for GTF2B recombinant protein
Description: GTF2B Human Recombinant produced in E Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 336 amino acids (1-316 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 36.9 kDa. The GTF2B is fused to a 20 amino acid His Tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Introduction: GTF2B is one of the ubiquitous factors needed for transcription initiation by RNA polymerase II preinitiation factor. GTF2B localizes to the nucleus where it forms a complex (the DAB complex) with transcription factors IID and IIA. GTF2 plays a role as a bridge between IID, which initially recognizes the promoter sequence, and RNA polymerase II. GTF2B is involved in the selection of the transcription start site.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "General Transcription Factor IIB, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
