Host Note
Optimized DNA sequence encoding Human extracellular domain of human CD31 including a C-terminal 6His tag was expressed in HEK293 cells.
Biological Activity
Recombinant Human CD31 activity was determined by its ability to support the adhesion of Jurkat human leukemic T-cells. When cells are added to recombinant human CD31 coated plates(3.3ug/mL, 100uL/well) in the presence of PMA, approximately 50% - 65% will adhere specifically after 30 minutes at 37.
Endotoxin
Endotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method.
Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/ug (1EU/ug).

Product Notes
The CD31 pecam1 (Catalog #AAA14418) is an Active Protein produced from HEk293 Cells (Host protein expression may be lot-specific and can be subject to change during production, including bulk orders) and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD31 (PECAM1), Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
