HIV-1 & HIV IgG Assay Kit | HIV-1 assay kit
recomLine HIV-1 & HIV-2 IgG
Reactivity
HIV-1 & HIV
Synonyms
IgG; N/A; recomLine HIV-1 & HIV-2 IgG; HIV-1 & HIV-2 IgG/recomLine; HIV-1 assay kit
Reactivity
HIV-1 & HIV
Specificity
The analytical specificity is defined as the capacity of the test to pre-cisely determine the analytes in the presence of potential interference factors in the sample matrix or cross-reactions with potentially interfer-ing antibodies.
Test Principle and Procedure
Recombinant HIV Antigens
1st Incubation A test strip loaded with HIV antigens is incubated with diluted sample in a dish for 3 hours.
Wash strip 3 times.
2nd Incubation Peroxidase conjugated anti-human antibody (IgG specific) is added. Incubate for 45 minutes.
Wash strip 3 times.
Color reaction 8 minutes after addition of the coloring solution, insoluble colored bands develop at the sites on the test strips occupied by antibodies.
Antigen Gene Region Function/Localization
gp120 ENV HIV-1 Glycoprotein, component of outer membrane of HIV-1
gp41 ENV HIV-1 Component of outer membrane of HIV-1
p51 POL Reverse transcriptase of HIV-1
p31 POL Integrase of HIV-1
p24 GAG Capsid protein of HIV-1
p17 GAG Matrix protein of HIV-1
gp105 ENV HIV-2 Glycoprotein, component of outer membrane of HIV-2
gp36 ENV HIV-2 Transmembrane glycoprotein, component of outer membrane of HIV-2

Principle of the Assay: Highly purified recombinant HIV antigens are fixed on nitrocellulose membrane strips.
Intended Uses: The recomLine HIV 1 & HIV 2 IgG is a line immunoassay. By sepa-rately lining up the individual antigens, unlike ELISAs, the test principle allows the identification of specific antibodies against the individual antigens of HIV-1 and HIV-2 (ENV proteins HIV-1: gp120, gp41; ENV proteins HIV-2: gp105, gp36; GAG proteins: p24, p17; POL proteins: p51, p31). By using the type-specific antigens gp41 (HIV 1) and gp36 (HIV 2) it is also possible to differentiate between an infection with HIV 1 and HIV 2. The recomline HIV-1 & HIV-2 IgG is a confirmation test and can be used to clarify unclear screening results.

Product Notes
The HIV-1 & HIV HIV-1 (Catalog #AAA47894) is an Assay Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA47894 Assay Kit recognizes HIV-1 & HIV HIV-1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IgG, Assay Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
