Principle of the Assay: The Mouse IL-2 ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of Mouse IL-2 in Cell Culture Supernatants, Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenates. This assay employs an antibody specific for Mouse IL-2 coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and IL-2 present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-Mouse IL-2 antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of IL-2 bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm.

Product Notes
The Mouse IL2 il2 (Catalog #AAA17867) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA17867 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse IL2. AAA Biotech's IL-2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (Sandwich ELISA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL2 il2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IL-2, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions

What sample types are compatible with the Mouse IL-2 ELISA kit?
The Mouse IL-2 ELISA kit is compatible with cell culture supernatants, serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates. The assay uses a 96-well plate format with an immobilized antibody specific for Mouse IL-2, making it suitable for various biological sample types commonly used in immunological research.
What is the detection sensitivity and range of the assay?
The typical Mouse IL-2 ELISA kits have a sensitivity around 4.5 pg/mL with detection ranges of 31.25–2000 pg/mL. The assay measures absorbance at 450 nm after TMB substrate development, providing quantitative IL-2 measurements across this dynamic range.
How long does the Mouse IL-2 ELISA protocol take?
Standard Mouse IL-2 ELISA protocols typically require 4 hours for completion. This includes coating, blocking, sample incubation, antibody binding, washing steps, substrate development, and final color measurement. The protocol is optimized for efficiency without compromising data quality.
What controls are needed for accurate IL-2 measurement?
Accurate IL-2 measurement requires IL-2 standards of known concentrations coated on the 96-well plate. Additionally, blank wells containing only dilution buffer serve as negative controls. These controls allow researchers to generate standard curves and ensure proper assay validation before quantifying unknown sample IL-2 levels.
How should the IL-2 ELISA kit be stored for stability?
AAA Biotech recommends centrifuging the kit vials before opening to consolidate any dispersed material. Components should be stored according to the manufacturer's specifications. Note that certain kits may require dry ice shipping, which incurs additional fees. Customers must report any product performance issues within 30 days of receipt.
