Related Product Information for Tau-441 recombinant protein
Description : Recombinant human Tau-441 (244-372) was expressed in E Coli cells using an N-terminal His tag. The protein accession number is P10636-8.
Scientific Background: Tau-441 or Tau-F is a member of the Tau family of proteins which function to stabilize the microtubules by binding to them. Tau proteins are subject to phosphorylation and this phenomenon regulates the association of the Tau protein with the microtubules (1). Deposits of Alzheimer's disease AD-associated proteins, such as hyperphosphorylated Tau, as well as other shared misfolded proteins, such as, beta-amyloid precursor protein (betaAPP), ubiquitin, and various chaperones and protein kinases are thought to play a pathologic role in the cognitive decline and muscular failure. Malfunctioning of Tau proteins is associated with microtubules disintegration and collapsing of the neuronal transport system (2).

Product Notes
The Tau-441 mapt (Catalog #AAA74034) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Tau-441 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot), Kinase Assay. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Tau-441 mapt for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Tau-441, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
