Specificity
This antibody is specific for murine CD68, known also as macrosialin (MS). CD68 is a 110 kDa, heavily O- and N- glycosylated type I integral membrane protein belonging to the sialomucin family and is closely related to the lysosomal/endosomal-associated membrane glycoproteins (LAMP). CD68 is predominantly expressed on the intracellular lysomsomes of monocytes and macrophages and to a lesser extent by dendritic cells and peripheral blood granulocytes. Elevated expression of CD68 has been demonstrated on CD34+ cells in various human malignancies, including several acute myeloid leukemia studies.
Purity/Purification
Protein A affinity purified
Form/Format
PBS with 0.02% Proclin 300.
Concentration
1mg/ml (varies by lot)
Applicable Applications for CD68 recombinant antibody
IP (Immunoprecipitation), IHC (Immunohistochemistry), FCM/FACS (Flow Cytometry)
Chimeric Use Statement
This chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Rat IgG2a format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C for up to 3 months. For longer storage, aliquot and store at -20 degree C.

Product Notes

The CD68 cd68 (Catalog #AAA72504) is a Recombinant Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-CD68 [FA-11], Rabbit IgG, kappa reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD68 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IP (Immunoprecipitation), IHC (Immunohistochemistry), FCM/FACS (Flow Cytometry). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD68 cd68 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD68, Monoclonal Recombinant Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
