Related Product Information for anti-EPO antibody
Erythropoietin (EPO), also known as hematopoietin is a glycoprotein cytokine that regulates the red blood cell production from the precursor cells inbone marrow. In fetal and perinatal period, EPO is mainly produced by the perisinusoidal cells in liver. In adults, majority of EPO is produced in the interstitial fibroblasts in kidney. EPO is necessary for red blood cell production, also stimulates angiogenesis and proliferation of smooth muscle cells. Recombinant EPO (rEPO) has been applied for treatment of anaemia. And the investigation into its neuronal protection effect in hypoxic conditions (stroke, myocardial infarction etc.) is ongoing. Some individuals use rEPO to enhance performance in sports.

Product Notes
The EPO epo (Catalog #AAA77944) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The mAb anti-Human EPO reacts with Human. Other species not tested Does not cross react with other human cytokines tested such as IL-8, IL-16, IL-7, MCP-1, TNF-beta, GM-CSF, M-CSF, IL-1beta, bFGF, and human serum albumin or bovine serum albumin. and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's EPO can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot), ELISA. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the EPO epo for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "EPO, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
