Related Product Information for anti-HFE antibody
The protein encoded by this gene is a membrane protein that is similar to MHC class I-type proteins and associates with beta2-microglobulin (beta2M). It is thought that this protein functions to regulate iron absorption by regulating the interaction of the transferrin receptor with transferrin. The iron storage disorder, hereditary haemochromatosis, is a recessive genetic disorder that results from defects in this gene. At least nine alternatively spliced variants have been described for this gene. Additional variants have been found but their full-length nature has not been determined. Product Notes
The HFE hfe (Catalog #AAA320101) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The HFE Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's HFE can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA, ICC (Immunocytochemistry), IF (Immunofluorescence), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HFE hfe for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HFE, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
