Related Product Information for anti-INSR antibody
The insulin receptor (IR) is a heterodimeric protein complex that has an intracellular subunit and an extracellular subunit, which is disulfide-linked to a transmembrane segment. The insulin ligand binds to the IR and initiates molecular signaling pathways that promote glucose uptake in cells and glycogen synthesis. Insulin binding to IR induces phosphorylation of intra-cellular tyrosine kinase domains and recruitment of multiple SH2 and SH3 domain-containing intracellular proteins that serve as signaling intermediates for pleiotropic effects of insulin. Type 1 diabetes is an auto-immune condition of the endocrine pancreas that results in destruction of insulin secreting cells and a progressive loss in insulin-sensitive glucose uptake by cells.

Product Notes
The INSR insr (Catalog #AAA78499) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse Monoclonal Antibody to Insulin Receptor (Clone: IR-1) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Insulin Receptor can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, FCM/FACS (Flow Cytometry). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the INSR insr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Insulin Receptor, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
