Protein G chromatography
Form/Format
Mouse monoclonal purified with protein G chromatography is supplied in 100ul phosphate-buffered saline, 50% glycerol, 1mg/ml BSA, and 0.05% sodium azide.
Applicable Applications for anti-MuRF1 antibody
ELISA, WB (Western Blot)
Immunogen
Clone M316 was generated from a synthetic peptide (coupled to KLH) corresponding to amino acid residues in the C-terminal half of human MuRF1. This peptide sequence is highly conserved in rat and mouse MuRF1, and has 50% homology to MuRF2 (TRIM-55).
Specificity Note
All molecular weights (MW) are confirmed by comparison to Bio-Rad Rainbow Markers and to western blot mobilities of known proteins with similar MW

Related Product Information for anti-MuRF1 antibody
Muscle proteolysis is regulated by the ATP-dependent ubiquitin-proteasome system. This system involves ubiquitination of specific proteins, leading to recognition and degradation by the 26S proteasome complex. Ubiquitination requires interactions with ubiquitin related proteins, ubiquitin-activating (E1), ubiquitin-conjugating (E2) and ubiquitin-ligating enzymes (E3) known as ligases. Two muscle specific ubiquitin ligases have been identified, muscle ring finger 1 (MuRF-1) and Atrogin 1. Both ligases are regulated by the Akt1/FOXO1 signaling pathway, and both proteins have been shown to be upregulated prior to the onset of atrophy in multiple models of muscle wasting, including disuse and cachexia. MuRF1 is also known as TRIM63, SMRZ, and RNF28, and its expression is upregulated after TNFalpha treatment in C2C12 cells and muscle tissue, while localization of MuRF1 protein has been observed in the cytoplasm and nucleus of cells.

Product Notes

The MuRF1 trim63 (Catalog #AAA71658) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MuRF1 (C-terminal region) M316 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MuRF1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA, WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MuRF1 trim63 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MuRF1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
