Related Product Information for anti-p53 antibody
The p53 tumor suppressor protein plays a major role in cellular response to DNA damage and other genomic aberrations. Activation of p53 can lead to either cell cycle arrest and DNA repair or apoptosis. It is involved in cell cycle regulation as a trans-activator that acts to negatively regulate cell division by controlling a set of genes required for this process. p53 is phosphorylated at multiple sites in vivo and by several different protein kinases in vitro. P53 is found in increased amounts in a wide variety of transformed cells. P53 is frequently mutated or inactivated in about 60% of cancers.

Product Notes

The p53 tp53 (Catalog #AAA312132) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The p53 Antibody reacts with Human, Zebrafish and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's p53 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IF (Immunofluorescence), ICC (Immunocytochemistry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the p53 tp53 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "p53, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
