PREALBUMIN Native Protein | TTR native protein
NATIVE HUMAN PREALBUMIN
Gene Names
TTR; CTS; CTS1; PALB; TBPA; HEL111; HsT2651
Applications
ELISA
Purity
>96%
Synonyms
PREALBUMIN; N/A; NATIVE HUMAN PREALBUMIN; TRANSTHYRETIN, PALB; TTR native protein
Purity/Purification
>96%
Form/Format
Purified protein from human serum - lyophilized; 0.02M Ammonium bicarbonate (NH4HCO3)
Concentration
Total protein concentration 1.0 mg/ml after reconstitution. (varies by lot)
Applicable Applications for TTR native protein
ELISA
Product Type
Purified Protein
Reconstitution
Reconstitute with 1 ml sterile PBS. Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. AAA Biotech recommends that the vial is gently mixed after reconstitution.
Target Species
Human
Presevative stabilizers
None present
Purity Note
SDS-PAGE confirms prealbumin as the major component. Under certain conditions dimer and monomer subunits can be seen. Cellulose acetate electrophoresis shows one band only with a higher electrophoretic mobility than albumin.
Preparation and Storage
Ships on dry ice. Store at -20°C only.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the protein. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.

Related Product Information for TTR native protein
Native human prealbumin, also known as transthyretin, is a homotetrameric serum and cerebrospinal fluid protein which acts as a carrier for the thyroid hormone thyroxine. Each monomer is a 127 amino acid polypeptide. Prealbumin is synthesised principally in the liver and choroid plexus from where it is secreted into the serum and cerebrospinal fluid respectively.

Product Notes
The TTR ttr (Catalog #AAA50506) is a Native Protein and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's PREALBUMIN can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TTR ttr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PREALBUMIN, Native Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
