Preparation and Storage
Antibody can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for six months without detectable loss of activity. The antibody can be stored at 2-8°C for 1 month without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Ankyrin 3, also known as Ankyrin G, is larger than the related Ankyrin 1 and Ankyrin 2. Ankyrin 3 is expressed in the axon initial segment and the nodes of Ranvier in the nervous system. Antibodies against Ankyrin 3 thus can be useful in identifying the regions of axon initial segments and nodes of Ranvier. This antibody was made against the C-terminal 398 amino acid of human isotype 1, and works well on human and rat ankyrin 3 on western blots and section material. This segment is expressed by all ankyrin 3 three isotypes and contains the DEATH domain sequence.
