Related Product Information for anti-BAG2 antibody
BAG proteins compete with Hip for binding to the
Hsc70/Hsp70 ATPase domain and promote substrate release. All the
BAG proteins have an approximately 45-amino acid BAG domain near
the C terminus but differ markedly in their N-terminal regions. The
predicted BAG2 protein contains 211 amino acids. The BAG domains of
BAG1, BAG2, and BAG3 interact specifically with the Hsc70 ATPase
domain in vitro and in mammalian cells. All 3 proteins bind with
high affinity to the ATPase domain of Hsc70 and inhibit its
chaperone activity in a Hip-repressible manner. [provided by

Product Notes

The BAG2 bag2 (Catalog #AAA288809) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 148-176. The BAG2 Antibody (C-term) reacts with Human (Predicted Reactivity: Bovine, Mouse) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's BAG2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IHC (Immunohistochemistry), ELISA, WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BAG2 bag2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "BAG2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
