Function
Has 3'-5' poly(A) exoribonuclease activity forsynthetic poly(A) RNA substrate. Catalyticcomponent of the CCR4-NOT complex whichis one of the major cellular mRNAdeadenylases and is linked to various cellularprocesses including bulk mRNA degradation,miRNA- mediated repression, translationalrepression during translational initiation andgeneral transcription regulation. Additionalcomplex functions may be a consequence ofits influence on mRNA expression. May beinvolved in the deadenylation-dependentdegradation of mRNAs through the 3'-UTRAU-rich element-mediated mechanism. Involved in deadenylation-dependentdegradation of CDKN1B mRNA. Its mRNAdeadenylase activity can be inhibited byTOB1. Mediates cell proliferation and cellsurvival and prevents cellular senescence.
Cellular Location
Cytoplasm. Nucleus Note=Predominantly cytoplasmic.
Tissue Location
Highly expressed in placenta, skeletal muscle, pancreas, testis and leukocytes. Weakly expressed in heart, spleen andthymus.
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Related Product Information for anti-CNOT6L antibody
CNO6L plays a role in the deadenylation of mRNAs in the cytoplasm. CNO6L has 3'-5' poly(A) exoribonuclease activity for synthetic poly(A) RNA substrate. CNO6L may be involved in the deadenylation-dependent degradation of mRNAs through the 3'-UTR AU-rich element-mediated mechanism. This protein involved in deadenylation-dependent degradation of CDKN1B mRNA.

Product Notes

The CNOT6L cnot6l (Catalog #AAA285756) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 414-442. The CNO6L Antibody (C-term) reacts with Human (Predicted Reactivity: Xenopus, Mouse) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CNO6L can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot), IHC (Immunohistochemistry), ELISA. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CNOT6L cnot6l for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CNO6L, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
