Related Product Information for anti-DUT antibody
This is a rabbit polyclonal antibody against DUT. It was validated on Western Blot using a cell lysate as a positive control.

Target Description: DUT is an essential enzyme of nucleotide metabolism. This protein forms a ubiquitous, homotetrameric enzyme that hydrolyzes dUTP to dUMP and pyrophosphate. This reaction serves two cellular purposes: providing a precursor (dUMP) for the synthesis of thymine nucleotides needed for DNA replication, and limiting intracellular pools of dUTP. Elevated levels of dUTP lead to increased incorporation of uracil into DNA, which induces extensive excision repair mediated by uracil glycosylase. This repair process, resulting in the removal and reincorporation of dUTP, is self-defeating and leads to DNA fragmentation and cell death. Product Notes

The DUT dut (Catalog #AAA199645) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DUT antibody - N-terminal region reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DUT can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot), IHC (Immunohistochemistry). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DUT dut for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: AAVLSGPGPP LGRAAQHGIP RPLSSAGRLS QGCRGASTVG AAGWKGELPK. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DUT, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
