Preparation and Storage
This antibody can be stored at 2-8 degree C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Folylpolyglutamate synthase (FPGS), an important enzyme in the folate metabolic pathway, catalyzes the polyglutamation of folates and antifolates, such as methotrexate (MTX), to produce highly active metabolites. FPGS is the key enzyme that converts chemotherapy drug Methotrexate (MTX) into MTXPG. The expression level of FPGS directly influences MTX-sensitivity of tumor cells. FPGS plays a central role in intracellular accumulation of folate and antifolate in several mammalian cell types. Loss of FPGS activity results in decreased cellular levels of antifolates and consequently to polyglutamatable antifolates in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Compared with B-cell acute lymphocytic leukemia (B-ALL), T-cell acute lymphocytic leukemia (T-ALL) cells express a lower level of FPGS, which results in insensitivity of the cells to MTX.
